HERE WE
GO....!
ABC Finals is upon us! This
is a big weekend for SEMS and for swimmers throughout
Minnesota. The tentative timeline shows the meet is full so
please note the timeline may vary plus/minus several minutes
throughout the meet. Below is the schedule for when to be
there:
- FRIDAY: Be there by 4:30pm
for a warm-up start at 4:45. If you are there earlier, you
help SEMS secure a good spot to sit for the weekend...
- SATURDAY & SUNDAY AM: Be
there by 6:50am for a busy warm-up session. We will need the
full hour to warm-up the entire team.
- SATURDAY PM: Be there at 11:45am
and check in with your coach. We may send you to the gym
while the AM session wraps up. Stay in touch with your
coach!
- SUNDAY PM: Be there at 12:15pm
and check in with your coach like Saturday.
LOCATION: At the
Art Downy Pool in South View Middle School, Edina where we have had
tremendous results in past seasons. See map below to print
directions and plan travel times.
FULL TEAM ENTRIES are posted to view
what you and your teammates are swimming.
TIME
TRIALS: Time Trials are not listed in the
timelines. However, they will run time trial sessions
throughout the weekend. They will tentatively occur after
each session. SEMS' time trial policy is these are reserved
for swimmers attempting to make their state cut who just missed
it. You can time trial if you are within 0.5sec per 50 (ie
within 1sec for 100, 2sec for 200) of the State cut. Note: The meet
host may impose a tighter restriction on time trial qualifications
due to the size of the meet!
